WEST PALM BEACH, FL -- There's some good news about gas prices; they're going back down.

Crude oil prices are at their lowest level in seven weeks, now below $61.

Right now, the average price for a gallon of regular in the West Palm Beach/Boca Raton area is $2.70. That's down four cents from last week.

Prices are even lower along the Treasure Coast. In Vero Beach, at the Cumberland Farms location on Oslo Road, the WPTV NewsChannel 5 Pump Patrol found gas at $2.46.

Prices are back to what they were around this time last month.

One year ago, motorists in South Florida saw gas prices at $4.17 a gallon for regular.
