FT. PIERCE, FL -- New technology is allowing people to say goodbye without leaving home.

Haisley Funeral & Cremation Service is one of a growing number of funeral homes offering web casting.

Using a camera, computer and a Wi-Fi signal, the funeral home can broadcast a service from Ft. Pierce around the world.

A grandson couldn't make it to a recent memorial service because he's in the military.

He logged on from the base in Spain to watch.

The web casting is growing in popularity, especially among people who can't afford to make the trip.

The funeral home charges $95 for the service, which allows families and friends unlimited access.

The web casts are all password protected and while most are broadcast live on the web, people can access them for 90 days.

"People want to attend and now they can attend," says owner Rick Haisley.  "hey just could be hundreds or thousands of miles away."

The Haisleys are testing their new equipment for other uses.

They've even had a few requests to shoot weddings.
