WEST PALM BEACH, FL -- In May, Florida's unemployment rate entered double digits for the first time since jobless records began in 1976. If you are one of the many who lost a job to this recession, next week you will have the opportunity to network with hundreds of local professionals.
A unique job fair will be held in West Palm Beach. Job placement companies around the nation and the state have been hosting so-called Pink Slip parties in recent months. The networking events are becoming more and more popular with nervous job seekers as Pink Parties provide prospective employees a chance to meet with employers in a casual environment.
On Tuesday, the FREE event will be held at the Blue Martini in City PLace from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Make sure you have your resume in hand and dress to impress.
