WEST PALM BEACH, FL (News Release) - - Three local Chick-fil-A® restaurants in West Palm Beach, Wellington and Boynton Beach have partnered with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Childrens (NCMEC) Take 25 Campaign to host child safety awareness events in the community.
The goal of Take 25 is to increase awareness about childrens safety issues. With a focus on prevention, the campaign encourages parents, guardians and other trusted-adult role models to spend time talking to kids and teaching them ways to stay safe. In honor of its 25th year of serving our nation, the NCMEC developed Take 25 to encourage parents to take at least 25 minutes to read and share safety information with their children.
The local Chick-fil-A events are as follows:
Friday, May 15: The Chick-fil-A at the Mall at Wellington Green will host a Take 25 child safety awareness event. The restaurant will give a free Kid's Icedream® cup or cone to any child who comes in with their parents and asks for Take 25 information.
Monday, May 18: The Chick-fil-A at Boynton Beach Boulevard will host a Take 25 child safety awareness evening from 5 - 8 p.m. Community civic leaders will be present, and the NCMEC will provide Child ID kits to all children in attendance. There will also be games and fun for all ages.
Friday, May 22: The Chick-fil-A at Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard will host a Take 25 Family Night from 5 - 9 p.m. West Palm Beach Mayor Lois Frankel will be present and the NCMEC will provide Child ID kits to all children in attendance. All children will receive a free Kids Icedream and the restaurant will set up an Ice Dream topping bar.
We believe this safety information is crucial for parents to share with their children to prevent a tragedy from occurring, said Rob Rabenecker, franchise Operator of the Chick-fil-A at The Mall at Wellington Green. We are proud to help the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children raise awareness of child protection solutions, and we encourage our customers to stop by for this free information. When it comes to the safety of our children, it is always better to be proactive than reactive.
