WEST PALM BEACH, FL -- Restaurants across South Florida will be serving customers a little relief on tax deadline day, by offering free or deeply discounted food!

The restaurant industry hit hard by recession hopes patrons return the favor eventually and provide them a little relief.

Here's where it's all at:

  • The P.F. Chang's chain is keeping it simple with a 15% discount for folks who dine at its 193 restaurants on Wednesday.

  • Palm Beach area Chik-fil-a's are offering your stomach a stimulus package. Customers who purchase food at participating restaurants are encouraged to keep their receipts, which can be redeemed for each menu item listed on the receipt from April 16 -- May 15, 2009.

  • McDonald's is offering - Buy one Quarter Pounder or Big Mac and get one for a penny on April 15th until supplies last.

  • Snack chain Cinnabon will give out Tax Day Bites, free bite-size cinnamon rolls usually known as Classic Bites, from 5 to 8 p.m. at its 700 outlets on tax day.

  • T.G.I.Friday's will give Wednesday customers $5 Bonus Bites gift cards for food and beverage purchases of $15 to $25 and $10 cards for those who spend more than $25. Members of the 1,000-outlet chain's frequent-customer program also will get double points.
