ORLANDO, FL -- Add water coaster to the list of amenities now offered to lure families onto cruise ships.

Disney has announced plans for a high-speed flume ride on its next ship, the Disney Dream.

AquaDuck will wind around the top deck of the 12-hundred cabin vessel, which is now under construction.

And at one point in the 765-foot journey, riders will actually zoom 13 feet over the side of the Disney Dream.

And all that will stand between them and a 150 foot drop straight down into the ocean is a 1 1/2 inch thick acrylic tube.

The Disney Dream is scheduled to debut in January 2011.
