Jay Gilmore comes to West Palm Beach from the Rocket City(Huntsville, AL). His on-air career started in the border city in Laredo, TX and now brings him to sunny south Florida. He's lived in several parts of the country enjoying stops in California, Tennesee, Texas and Alabama. He's now pumped about providing Coverage You Can Count On in the Sunshine State.
Jay is married to a sports fan. His wife is die hard everything Detroit. Not a fair-weather fan...die hard. Jay supports the people and teams he's dealt with along the way. He's covered the Spurs winning the World Championship to Emmitt Smith breaking Walter Payton's NFL rushing record.
He also got a first hand look at Dolphins Running Back Ronnie Brown when the Auburn Tigers went a perfect 13-and-oh and got robbed of any chance to take away USC's title like the Texas Longhorns did.
As a kid, Jay grew up loving all things LA. He was a Dogers fan with Orel Hershiser throwing the ball, he loved the Raiders when Bo Jackson knew everything and Magic Johnson and the Lakers were his favorite. After Magic retired, he settled for Kobe and Shaq until the Lake Show sent O'neal to South Beach. A sad day for Jay at the time, but now he's pleased with the turnout.
When Jay's not on air, he's just laid back. He often enjoys public speaking; especially to school-aged kids.
