Born in Ciego de Avila, Cuba; but moved with her family to Miami, Florida at the age of seven.
Education:
Liz graduated from the University of Florida with high honors. Go Gators!
She received a Bachelors degree in Telecommunication, News and a minor in Latin American studies.
Work Experience:
Liz joined the NewsChannel 5 team as a multimedia journalist in May 2009.
She started her broadcast career in radio as a producer and reporter for AM850 in Gainesville, Fl.
Meanwhile, Liz anchored and reported for WUFT's evening newscast, covering stories like the execution of Danny Rolling, and the Gators back-to-back-to-back National Championships.
In her free time, you can find Liz reading, running, or out by the beach.
