Eric was raised in South Florida and graduated from North Miami Beach Senior High School. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism and Telecommunications at the University of Florida.

Eric started his television career in West Palm Beach, then headed to New York City, the nation's largest television market, where he spent two years as a reporter.

Before moving home to South Florida, Eric also spent nine years in Dallas, Texas as an Anchor/Reporter. Eric is an avid scuba diver, a rather poor golfer, and a rabid Dolphins fan.

He, his wife and their son now make their home in Tequesta.
