Carolyn’s career in broadcasting began early. At the age of 16, she landed a DJ spot at a local radio station.
She moved on to television by her senior year of high school, and she’s been in the business ever since.
After graduating from college, she went back to her old station in Panama City and spent two years covering the Panhandle with WMBB. Then she packed up her bags and moved south to Orlando, where she covered everything from health to hurricanes with Central Florida News 13.
Her southward journey continues here on the Treasure Coast. To quote Jimmy Buffett, “I wanna go where it’s warm!”
Carolyn earned an Associated Press Award for her first radio report. That’s a tough act to follow! But she has also been recognized by the American Heart Association for her reports on heart health.
When not working, Carolyn likes to take advantage of the Florida sunshine! She loves theme parks, especially roller coasters.
Much to her neighbors’ dismay, she sometimes likes to practice her flute. Carolyn has also been known to attempt disc golf, and can sometimes be found shimmying in a bellydance class.
Now that she’s here on the Treasure Coast, you’ll probably find her on the beach!
