NewsChannel 5 Internships

WPTV is one of Florida's top rated television stations. Our internship program is very competitive. We invite you to apply for a position in one of the three terms. Interns will be asked to do some phone work, research, filing, but will spend most of their time working with reporters, producers, photographers and editors. We hope by the end of your internship to send you out with a resume tape in your area of interest.

• We have one Internship available in the Contact 5 Unit. This is our investigative and consumer unit. If you have an interest in working with this award winning unit, please specify on your resume and cover letter.
  
  
• WPTV.com Interns WPTV.com is currently accepting applicants for unpaid content and design internships for our Web site. Our interns learn the latest Internet tools and tricks from top professionals at WPTV.com while working in the top-rated TV news environment of our newsroom. If interested, please send a resume, a cover letter and URLs (if any).

Juniors, Seniors and Graduate students at an accredited college or university are given the first opportunity. If we do not have enough applicants in that group, we offer it to sophomores and freshman. You MUST get credit from your school for the internship. Proof of credit is required.

This is an unpaid internship. We ask that you work a minimum of 15 hours a week. There are 2 shifts, either 9:30am - 6:30pm or 3pm - 12am, 7 days a week. There is some flexibility in these schedules. The internship program lasts an average of 10 weeks. The internship takes place at WPTV's West Palm Beach studios.
