Will hurricane season wash away oceanfront homes?

Come on people - really? You built your homes and apartment buildings on a barrier island. A barrier island is designed by mother nature to protect the mainland and never should have been built on to begin with. It's the risk you took by buying your property on the ocean and it's not up to me or any other taxpaying citizen to pay our government to "fix the problem." The whole thing is completely and totally asinine.

I think nature is trying to tell us something, but we don't listen to her fury. Stop building so close to the ocean, what do you expect!!!!

Fuel saving device yields sporadic results

Look, any gadget that somehow produces more energy than it takes to create it defies the laws of physics. Tweaking an engine to run outside of its design parameters results in some other trade off. In this case it could be shorter life span. I agree - do some scientific testing in an independent lab.

What does the "chart" show. It would be really nice if someone would do a REAL test. The burned wires and blown fuse tells you it is drawing too much current. Dilute the electrolyte and problem solved. Regarding the leaks...... Why not fix it. I have made one that I can control the current from 1 to 50 amps. So far all I have done with it is blow up quart freezer bags full of hydrogen and oxygen and connected it to an 8 horsepower engine to see what would happen. Seems like everyone wants it to double their gas mileage. It would be more realistic if we could get something like a 10% increase in mileage and a cleaner exhaust. A 10% increase would be difficult to determine just "trying" to drive the same all the time. If we inject too much hydrogen and oxygen the oxygen sensors will tell the computer the engine is running lean and the computer will INCREASE the fuel rate.

Scambuster, I understand your enthusiasm in critiquing. But slow down. Why would an improved spray pattern from a fuel injection nozzle -- all by itself -- improve gas mileage? Judging by the comments of some people, this is a violation of the laws of thermodynamics. Hydrogen combustion occurs at a much higher rate than that of gasoline or diesel. The effects being judged here are at extremely low levels of hydrogen where its presence can act as a sort of high speed catalyst to make the combustion event more efficient. There is a very small window in the combustion stroke for improving efficiency. Judging this technology simply by its fuel value is making an analogous mistake to saying any fuel injector dispensing a given amount of fuel should yield equal results. Right? Fight4truth, if you look at the MIT research on plasma fuel reforming and follow the citations in their patents you will find information on how hydrogen reduces emmissions. Be aware that much of this information is in scientific journals that will charge you anywhere from $14 to $31 a pop to read an article. It is expensive to be an informed critic. Don't expect data to be dispensed on the internet for free. You might demand that the companies marketing these products provide this information. Try demanding that MIT publicly release all of its testing data. This is a sort of dreamworld.

She needs to read "Protecting the Gift" by Gavin DeBecker - then she'd know she took more of a risk leaving her two yr old daughter home alone overnight w/ a 16 yr old boy.
