PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. - Storm Team 5 meteorologist Glenn Glazer and WPTV NewsChannel 5 anchor Ashleigh Walters took on the Ice Bucket Challenge to raise money for research for ALS or "Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis."
The two were challenged by T.A. Walker from Kool 105.5's "The Mo and Sally Morning Show."
In the video, Glenn and Ashleigh announced that they are each going to donate $100 to the cause, a total of $200. You can donate or learn more information about ALS, visit ALSAFL.org.
Glenn announced that he is challenging Jack Lighton, President & CEO of the Loggerhead Marinelife Center and Storm Team 5 meteorologist Lisa Vaughn.
Ashleigh announced that she is challenging her brother-in-law John Knoll, a visual effects supervisor and Chief Creative Officer at Industrial Light and Magic, and Ashley Yore, a reporter at the WPTV Scripps sister station in Tampa.
Glenn and Ashleigh joined up to challenge WPTV's News Director, Dan Wilson.
ALS is a devastating disease, sometimes referred to as Lou Gehrig's Disease. According to ALSAFL.org, it can lead to muscle weakness and severe impair mobility, speech, swallowing and respiratory function.
